How to Make Homemade Toilet Bowl Cleaner
- You will need the following household ingredients:
- 1/4 cup (about 60 ml) lemon juice
- 5 1/2 ounces (about 160 grams) of baking soda
- 1/2 tablespoon vinegar
- 1 tablespoon 3% hydrogen peroxide
- 15-20 drops of essential oil, such as lemon or orange
First, mix the baking soda and the lemon juice in a small bowl.
Next, in a separate bowl, mix the vinegar and hydrogen peroxide. Then, add this mixture to the baking soda and lemon mixture, one drop at a time. Finally, add a pleasant-smelling essential oil of your choice to your homemade cleaning product.
Now, using a spoon, form several half-ball shapes of your mixture. Place them on a sheet of parchment paper to dry, for at least four hours or overnight.
When the tablets of cleaner are completely dry, store them in air-tight glass jar near your toilet.
When you notice that your toilet needs to be cleaned, drop in a tablet of your homemade cleaner. Scrub if needed. Repeat as needed, 2-3 times each week.
