The best way to stay away from pesticides is to always buy organic foods, but unfortunately, not everyone can afford organic food. Organic foods are more expensive than the standard fruits and vegetables.
The problem is that the vegetables and fruits are sprayed with poisonous substances, pesticides that can harm the health. The organic food is challenging for those who live in big cities as most of the vegetables and fruits are suspicious and imported. If you want to purchase organic food, you can visit some street markets and talk to the farmers.
The pesticides are linked to several diseases like vomiting, headaches, nausea, chronic and long term diseases, endocrine disruptions and cancer. The most common side-effects of using pesticides are nausea, fatigue, dizziness, headaches and eye and skin irritation.
The worst part of it is that the chronic health effects may occur many years after you’ve been exposed to these harmful substances. Studies have shown that if the mother was exposed to pesticides, there is an increased factor for children’s autism disorder.
Pesticides are also known to cause cancer like breast, liver, testicular, prostate, ovarian, bone and brain cancer and also Hodgkins disease, non Hodgkins lymphoma and leaukemia.
There is a way how to wash the veggies and fruits properly and make them pesticide-free, even if they aren’t organic.
You will need 1 cup of ACV (apple cider vinegar), 1 tbs. of baking soda, 2 tbs. of lemon juice and water.
Mix all of the ingredients in a bowl and put the veggies and fruits in it and leave them for 5 minutes.
After that, just wash the veggies and fruits with water and leave them to dry.
